Gelfand Blunders, Moro Leads
Round two of the Grandmaster Tournament at the Biel Chess Festival continued the high entertainment factor of round one, with a dash of schadenfreude.
Alexander Morozevich (pictured) won again to lead on 2/2, a clear point ahead after just 2 rounds. His victim was top seed Boris Gelfand, but it was very much Gelfand's loss rather than Moro's win, with the Israeli GM showing that even the top players can blunder to simple tactics.
To be fair to Gelfand, he was under a little time pressure, but still had time to think about his moves. At times, Caissa can make fools of us all...
