Peter Leko's sixth annual rapid match in Miskolc, ended in disappointment for the Hungarian #1 as this year's opponent Boris Gelfand won the match 4.5-3.5 after two draws on the final day.

In the final game Gelfand generously agreed a draw in a won position to seal the match victory.

It was a match where both players contested various lines of the Semi-Slav in almost every game. Only game four varied with the Petroff Defence - Leko's only win.  Perhaps he could have tried 1.e4 more often?
