Erwin l'AmiFrom now on, at Chessvibes I will publish an analysed game every once in a while for you. The first game is from B?ɬ©thune, where I, to prepare for Corus, played an open tournament from the 26th till the 30th of December. Nine rounds, and thus two games a day, made it a tough tournament where I wasn't convicing enough. In the rounds 1 till 8 I made four draws against players varying between 2400 and 2550. So six out of eight, but a win in the last round still kept the tournament victory in sight. This had to be done against Ninov, a strong master from Bulgaria. I'm looking forward to your comments on the following analysis!

Fagan once participated in a tournament in Bombay, as the only woman. She won all her eleven games, but was disqualified after the last round because the tournament took place in a club where only men were allowed. She started and won a trial, after which she was declared the winner of the tournament after all. On 9 January 1884 Daniel Harrwitz passed away.
