Alexander Grischuk (pictured) drew with Peter Leko in round 5 of the FIDE Grand Prix in Nalchik to take his half-point lead into the first rest day.

There were two decisive games in round 5 - The Brooklyn boy, Gata Kamsky, had yet another marathon game, but this time he failed to salvage a draw in a difficult ending with Vladimir Akopian of Armenia.

The other decisive game saw an out-of-sorts Vassily Ivanchuk lose in just 25 moves with the White pieces against Rustam Kasimdzhanov.  Poor Chucky now lies in last place!
