Hangzhou Women's Tournament 2011
The inaugural Hangzhou Women Tournament runs from 14-23 July in Hangzhou, China.
The format is a 10-player single round-robin featuring Women's World Champion Hou Yifan (pictured) as top seed, and an impressive average rating of 2524 Elo.
However, the tournament will have to fight for attention with 2011 World Team Chess Championships in Ningbo, China which runs virtually concurrently.
The time control is 40 moves in 90 minutes followed by 30 minutes to finish with a 30 second increment from the start. First prize is $5,000 and 19th July is a rest day.
