Happy Birthday Magnus Carlsen

The world's #1 ranked player* turns 20 years old today.  Magnus "The Kid" Carlsen is no longer a teenager, let alone a kid.

Carlsen became a Grandmaster at age 13, broke the 2800 Elo barrier when 18, and became world #1 at 19.

He looked likely to become the youngest world champion in chess history until he dropped a bombshell by refusing to take part in next year's candidates tournament.

The future still looks bright for Magnus, and we hope to see lots of great chess from him in the future!
