Igor Kurnosov Leads Aeroflot

After three rounds of the extremely strong Aeroflot Open tournament, the sole leader on 3/3 is the Russian, Igor Kurnosov (pictured) .  The 22 year-old Kurnosov recently won the 2008/9 Hastings Masters, and is currently rated at 2602 Elo.

It's still early days in this 9-round Swiss event and Kurnosov will be have to hold off challenges from the likes of Etienne Bacrot, Alexei Dreev, Alexander Onischuk and Wesley So for the first prize of 21,000 euros and a place in the Dortmund super-tournament in July.
