India Victorious at 2008 World Junior Championship

The 2008 World Junior Championships were held from August 2-16, 2008 in Gaziantep, Turkey. On the boys side GM Abhijeet Gupta from India won the World Junior Championship title in dramatic fashion with a victory over another top contender in the final round to finish with a score of 10/13 and on the girls side IM Dronavalli Harika from India won the World Junior Championship title with a score of 10.5/13, a full 1.5 points in front of second place!
