Team Chess.com (GM Robert Hess and IM Danny Rensch) will square off against team Chessbrah (GM Eric Hansen and GM Aman Hambleton) for a third time this Friday in Team Chess Battles.

Team Chessbrah has won both matches so far and will be looking to complete the hat trick on Friday. If you weren't able to catch last July's battle, you can check it out below:

The two teams will be aiming to take home their share of the $500 prize pool, with $350 going to the winning team and $150 going to the losers.

In addition to the existing prize fund, fans will be able to contribute to their favorite team via donation. Half of all donated proceeds will benefit the charity of the winning team's choice, which will be announced before the event begins.

Can Robert Hess get team Chess.com over the hump and finally beat the Canadian squad?

The rematch will feature variants, different time controls, and will introduce Puzzle Battle to the Team Battle format. The match will consist of three rapid games (25|10), three Chess960 blitz games, and five rounds of Puzzle Battle.

Since last summer's Team Battle, the Chessbrahs have been red-hot, specifically in the PRO Chess League, where the Canada Chessbrahs lead the Western Division. 

Eric Hansen, who plays fourth board for the Chessbrahs this season, has performed admirably. His most notable win so far came against Alexey Sarana in Canada's win against the California Unicorns:
