Je eigen partijen analyseren. Ja maar hoe dan?

Onlangs bladerde ik door het boek Excelling at Positional Chess van Jacob Aagaard. Hoofdstuk 5 gaat over het analyseren van je eigen partijen en is het beste wat ik ooit gelezen heb over dit onderwerp. In het kort zegt hij:
1. Write down three new things you have learned from the game. 2. Always write down the time spent during the game. 3. Check the opening theory. 4. Write down the critical moments of the game, the things you saw during the game and what you think went wrong. Do this the same evening. 5. Analyse the game yourself. Only when finished should you refer to Fritz. 6. Check for structural assistance in Chessbase to gain additional insight. 7. Tornament reports and Diagnosis of weaknesses. 8. Training based on tournament reports.

Peter Doggers joined a chess club a month before turning 15 and still plays for it. He used to be an active tournament player and holds two IM norms.

Peter has a Master of Arts degree in Dutch Language & Literature. He briefly worked at New in Chess, then as a Dutch teacher and then in a project for improving safety and security in Amsterdam schools.
