The inaugural Hangzhou Women's Tournament from 14-23 July has been won by a Chinese player - but not the one you might have expected.

Ju Wenjun (pictured) took the first place prize of $5,000 with a score of 6½/9, a point clear of her nearest rival Harika Dronavalli.

But Harika Dronavalli also has cause to celebrate, since her performance was reportedly enough to secure her third and final GM norm. Congratulations!

Tournament favourite, and Women's World Champion, Hou Yifan had a disappointing event, finishing 6th with 4½ points.

Reigning Women's US Champion Anna Zatonskih also had a tournament to forget, finishing last with 2½ points.
