Karjakin Beats Kramnik In Russian Champs
Vladimir Kramnik's poor start to the Russian Superfinal continued in the third round with a loss to Sergey Karjakin.
Despite recovering from a loss to Peter Svidler in the opening round by winning in round two, Kramnik faltered again when facing the official #1 ranked Russian player (though Kramnik has regained that honour on the live rating list!).
All other games in the third round were drawn.
The standings after three rounds in Moscow:
Karjakin, Sergey | 2788 | 2 |
