It took an Armageddon decider to separate Sergey Karjakin (pictured) from Dmitry Jakovenko in an all Russian final of the 4th ACP World Rapid Cup (previous report here).

After the four rapid games and two blitz tiebreak games ended in a draw, Karjakin managed to win the Armageddon game thanks to an endgame blunder by his opponent.

Jakovenko had ended the winning run from veteran Mikhail Gurevich in the semi-final, while Karjakin had recovered from a first game loss to beat Alexander Grischuk.

Some games from the final and semi-finals are below.  All games from the tournament are available at the official site.
