Kasparov to Train Carlsen
When you're already the fourth highest rated chess player in the world, it must be hard to find coaches who can really stretch you...
Magnus Carlsen has solved that problem by the remarkable coup of landing the former world champion, and arguably the greatest player of all time, Garry Kasparov as his trainer.
The chess news website Chessbase has a translation of an exclusive report from the Norwegian newspaper VG which broke the news.
The report states that the pair have already been working together for six months and expect to continue at least for the rest of this year.
The news is confirmed by popular chess blogger (and close Kasparov friend) Mig Greengard at his Daily Dirt blog.
So if your name is Vishy Anand, Veselin Topalov, Vladimir Kramnik, or any other top GM with title aspirations, your world just got a little bit scarier!
