The men's title went to Sergei Tiviakov (pictured) of Russia with 8.5/11, now playing for the Netherlands. Whilst other players meekly agreed quick 'Grandmaster' draws in the final round, he played hard and was rewarded for his efforts by beating Emil Sutovsky of Israel to win by half a point from the rest of the field.
