Vladimir Kramnik, the contender for the World Chess Championship title later this year, has succeeded in winning both his games in his recent simultaneous exhibition in Germany against Marie Sebag (2510 Elo) and Jan Werle (2570 Elo).

Kramnik played with the White pieces and opened 1.d4 in both games.  Against Sebag, there followed a Slav Defence, whilst against Werle Kramnik played his trademark Catalan.
