Kramnik wins Cez Chess Trophy

Kramnik comfortably beats Navara

Vladimir Kramnik (pictured with his French journalist wife, Marie Laure Germon) ended up a comfortable winner against David Navara in their 8-game rapid match despite losing the last game.

The final result was a convincing 5.5-2.5 victory.

Kramnik will challenge the great Indian player Vishy Anand between 14th October and 2nd November 2008 for the World Chess Championship, in Germany.
