Kramnik wins Dortmund

Vladimir Kramnik battled formidable opposition (and a nasty chest infection which threatened his participation) in the Dortmund chess tournament, to emerge victorious by a clear point from the rest of the field.

In the category 20 event (average Elo rating 2727) Kramnik won three of his games with the White pieces and drew all other games to dominate the competition.
