Le Quang Liem1.jpgThe 19 year-old Vietnamese star Le Quang Liem has won the huge Aeroflot Open for the second year in succession.

This time he just edged out Russians Nikita Vitiugov and Evgeny Tomashevsky with a superior tie-break score after they all finished on a score of 6.5 points from the nine rounds played.

Le suffered a setback when he lost to Ivan Cheparinov in round eight, but his final round draw was enough to earn first prize and an invite to the Dortmund tournament later this year.

Gata Kamsky recovered from a poor start to finish with the chasing pack on 6/9.  The top placings are shown below.
