Avrukh"There are literally hundreds of novelties (including some for Black!), all deeply analysed and very well explained."

This is what, a couple of days ago, IM Sam Collins wrote in ChessToday in a glowing review of GM Boris Avrukh's book: Grandmaster Repertoire: 1.d4, Volume 1. Avrukh's book covers the openings after 1.d4 d5, 2.c4, in particular the Catalan, the Slav, the Queen's Gambit and the Queen's Gambit Accepted defences. It looks as if our friends from Quality Chess, the publishers, have scored another winner. In the course of his 450 pages book (at only ?¢‚Äö¬¨24.99!) Avrukh spells his secrets and busts a lot established lines.

"This book is really rather special and, I would say, brings opening literature to a new level", is what Sam Collins added.

Please have a look at this thorough and engaging repertoire book.
