Mariya Muzychuk Wins Ukrainian Women's Championship
The 72nd Ukrainian Women's Championship took place from 25 September - 3 October in Kharkiv.
The format was a 10-player single round-robin with the top seed being Kateryna Lahno.
It was a very strong event for a national women's chess championship and three players finished level with 6½ points: Mariya Muzychuk, Kateryna Lahno and Anna Ushenina.
Mariya Muzychuk (pictured) was awarded the title on superior tie-breaks.
The time control was 30 moves in 90 minutes with a 30 second increment.
