Meier Leads SPICE Cup After 2 Rounds
The German grandmaster Georg Meier has taken an early lead at the 2012 SPICE Cup in St. Louis.
Lowest seeded Meier defeated Ding Liren of China in the second round to record the only decisive result of the competition so far.
The tournament is a 6-player double round-robin hosted at Webster University. The tournament press release is here.
