Morozevich Wins Again In Tashkent
Alexander Morozevich took the sole lead with a score of 2/2 at the FIDE Grand Prix in Tashkent with a superb win against Fabiano Caruana in the second round.
Caruana came unstuck in a rook endgame and was punished by accurate moves by Morozevich to earn a well deserved victory.
Despite some interesting play, all the other games in the second round ended in draws.

The overall winner and runner-up of the 2012/13 FIDE Grand Prix will qualify for the March 2014 Candidates Tournament. Before then, we are due to have the 2013 Candidates in March 2013 in London, with the winner challenging Vishy Anand for the title in October/November 2013.
