The young American GM Hikaru "H-Bomb" Nakamura (pictured) has proved his promise yet again by winning the strong Chess960 Open tournament at the Chess Classic Mainz festival.

The 20 year-old Nakamura may have outgrown his prodigy status but he still packs a punch.  He clearly enjoys rapid games and copes well with the demands of the Chess960 variant.

Three players finshed the event on 9/11; along with Nakamura there was Alexander Motylev and Sergei Movsesian , but the "H-Bomb" won out on superior tie-break scores.

Here is Nakamura's win from round 9 with the White pieces against Movsesian:

Movsesian now 'castles' Kingside!
