Round 7 at Nanjing was a relatively quiet affair, with all games ending in fairly quick draws.

In descending order of excitement...

Carlsen held Topalov (pictured) with the black pieces in a Sveshnikov Silician and now looks certain to win the tournament.

The Gruenfeld seems to be enjoying quite a renaissance at the top levels, and today Jakovenko tried it on for size, achieving a draw against Wang Yue.

Radjabov versus Leko was an uneventful draw.

With 3 rounds to go, Carlsen maintains his commanding 2 point lead:

Carlsen, Magnus   NOR   2772
