The new Sicilian DragonWe have just recieved from London: The new Sicilian Dragon.

In this book GM and Sicilian Dragon expert Simon Williams takes a totally fresh look at this popular opening and presents the "Dragadorf Variation", a line in which Black playes both g6 and a6.

Williams started playing this variation in 2004. Back then he thought that it was time to try something more aggresive, interesting, different and, most importantly, more fun than the French Defence he normally played.

In a game against, of all people, Alexey Shirov, Williams first played the Dragadorf. Shirov won, but had to admit after the game that he didn't knew this plan and would have to see what he was supposed to play.

Now, many years later, the author has constructed a cutting-edge repertoire for Black, leading to positions which are fascinating and unique with all the specific caracteristics of both the Dragon and the Najdorf.

This is the first book on the extremely flexible Dragadorf.
