Ook de nieuwe Commissie van Beroep handhaaft de beslissing dat Kramnik partij 5 verloren heeft. Daarom was het voor sommigen even spannend of Kramnik wel voor partij 7 zou verschijnen, maar inderdaad, er wordt weer geschaakt. Een Aangenomen Damegambiet ontstaan uit (weer) een Slavische partij. Topalov heeft voor de derde keer achter elkaar wit (partij 4, 6 en 7) omdat het op de helft van een match gebruikelijk is van kleur te wisselen.The new Appeals Committee sticks to the decision that Kramink lost a point by not showing up for game 5. Update 22.15 uur: Topalov speelde weer niet agressief genoeg om het Kramnik echt lastig te maken. De Rus kwam wel in lichte tijdnood maar haalde met glans de 40 en stond toen iets beter; uiteindelijk werd deze zevende partij remise. Ziehier de partij met commentaar.Update 22.15 hrs: Topalov again did not play agressive enough to get Kramnik in real trouble. The Russian got into small time trouble but he managed to reach move fourty gloriously and had a better position there; at the the seventh game ended in a draw.
