All three round one games were drawn at Linares, with Boris Gelfand (pictured) testing Gashimov's Benoni, but ultimately failing to secure the full point.

Grischuk easily held Aronian to a draw, and Vallejo played solidly to hold Topalov to a draw.

The round two match-ups on Sunday are:

 Veselin Topalov   Vugar Gashimov
 Alexander Grischuk   Boris Gelfand
 Francisco Vallejo Pons   Levon Aronian

Games start at 4pm local time.  No live coverage at Chess.com for round two, but the moves are broadcast on the official site at this page.

The rate of play is 40 moves in 2 hours, then 20 moves in an hour, and finally 20 minutes for the remainder of the game, with a 30 second increment starting after the second time control.  A version of the "Sofia" anti-draw rules is also in operation.
