Polgar v Navara Match
The perennial #1 women's chess player Judit Polgar (pictured) will play a rapid match with the #1 Czech chess player, David Navara from 22 -24 April.
The match will consist of 8 rapid games at a time control of 25 minutes plus a 10 second increment.
The match is part of the 2010 CEZ Chess Trophy Festival, and Polgar will give a 25-board simultaneous exhibition during the event.
There will also be a talk from legendary Czech GM Vlastimil Hort on Vera Menchik, and another from Lubomir Kavalek "On beauty, women and a little bit on chess".
Last year David Navara took on Vladimir Kramnik during the CEZ festival and lost heavily 5.5-2.5, so he will be hoping for a better result this time.
Judit Polgar has been relatively inactive since becoming a mother, but is still an excellent player and her sharp style means she is always entertaining to watch.
The official website here will have coverage of the match.
However, the eyes of most chess fans will be on the start of the Anand v Topalov world championship match on 23 April. Look out for a preview soon!
