As expected, the two Mexico participants Aronian and Anand also qualified for the final of classical chess. Just two decisive games yesterday: Bacrot lost to both Aronian and Kasimdzhanov. The latter did what he had promised the day before: he played well and got excellent positions against both Anand and Aronian. In the game with Levon, Rustam had decided "to forget that it was rapid and just go for a well-prepared line", he told the journalists at the press conference.

Last night's games:

Final standings:

1. Anand 4,0
2. Aronian 3,5
3. Kasimdzhanov 2,5
4. Bacrot 2,0

Tonight at 18:30 CET the final Anand-Aronian and small final Bacrot-Kasimdzhanov.
