Lev_Aronian3_cropped.jpgWith just one round remaining of the World Team Championships, the Russian team swept back into the lead with a crushing win against Egypt.

The US team narrowly lost to Armenia, with Hikaru Nakamura losing to world #5 ranked Lev Aronian (pictured).  Nakamura tried the King's Indian that had previously proved so devastating against Boris Gelfand, but Aronian did not suffer the same fate.

Russia will take on Israel in the final round, with the USA facing Azerbaijan.  The gold medal is still up for grabs!
