The Russian Championships "Superfinal" runs from 8-15 August in Moscow.

The three qualifiers from the "Higher League" event in June, Morozevich, Timofeev and Galkin, join the rest of the field for a single round-robin competition.

Last year's champion, Ian Nepomniachtchi, is back to defend his title.

The total prize fund is 3.5 million roubles, and the sole rest day is 12 August.

Games begin at 15:00 local time (11:00 UTC). The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30 second increment from the start.
