bundesliga_logo_2010.gifThe German chess league - the Schachbundesliga - has been described as the best chess that almost no-one sees.

It's the strongest chess league in the world, with top international grandmasters competing in a competition spread over many weekends between October and April every year.

The international chess audience is unlikely to be cheering for any particular team, but the quality of chess on display makes it a real feast for chess fans.

OSG Baden-Baden have won the title for the last six years straight, and are once again leading after 10 rounds of the 2011/12 season.  A small selection of games from round 10 which took place yesterday are below.

Round 11 starts at 10:00 local time (09:00 UTC) and the live interface for watching games at the official website is excellent!
