Short v Efimenko Match

Universal Event Promotion (UEP), perhaps best known in the chess world for their promotion of the 2008 World Championship between Vladimir Kramnik and Vishy Anand, are organising a match between English #1 Nigel Short (pictured - Elo 2706), and Ukrainian Zahar Efimenko (Elo 2654).

The match will consist of six games from 20-26 September in Mukachevo in the Ukraine. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to a finish with an increment of 30 seconds per moves from the start.
