Just two rounds of the Russian Championship have been played (Grischuk, Sakaev, Rychagov and Tomashevsky are leading with 1,5), and already so much has happened. Favourites failing, sharp openings, middlegame problems, endgame technique, timetrouble blunders and even a mobile phone deciding one of the games. Peter Doggers joined a chess club a month before turning 15 and still plays for it. He used to be an active tournament player and holds two IM norms.
