St. Louis To Host 2009 US Championships

The Saint Louis Chess Club and Scolastic Centre is set to play host to the 2009 US Chess Championships.  The ambitious and modern centre only opened in July 2008 and has impressed as a well-equipped venue for the national event.

The championship will take the form of a 9-round Swiss tournament and a have total prize fund of $100,000, with the winner receiving $30,000.
