Stockfish Faces Lc0 In Computer Chess Championship Finals

The reigning, defending Chess.com Computer Chess champion Stockfish will once again put its title on the line in a clash with the upstart machine-learning engine Lc0.

The finals of CCC 6: The Winter Classic are scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 9. 

You can vote on each game and follow the always-running Computer Chess Championship:

The first engine to reach a score of plus-six in a minimum of 40 games will be declared the CCC 6 champion. If no engine reaches plus-six in 200 games, the leader after 200 games will be the champion. If the score is tied after 200 games, the champion will be determined by two-game mini-matches until an engine reaches 1.5/2.

  • Format: First engine to reach a +6 score after 40 games wins. Maximum of 200 games. 
  • Time control: 10 + 10
  • Scheduled start date: March 9
  • Opening book: Short opening book selected by Chess.com
