Tal Memorial - Round 7

Round 7 of the Tal Memorial was a quieter affair, with the games generally rather less inspiring than the tournament has been to date.

Nonetheless, there was a great fight between Ivanchuk and Gelfand, where the popular Ukranian came out on top.  Ivanchuk has taken to wearing a face mask while playing in recent rounds, in order to avoid catching the flu bug that is affecting some players, Carlsen in particular.

His decision to don a mask was understandably met with some mirth from his fellow competitors, but if it helps Chucky stay healthy and win, he will have the last laugh!  You gotta love Chucky! Laughing
