FIDE Tashkent Grand Prix Round 8
Peter Leko scored his first win of the Tashkent Grand Prix by beating Gata Kamsky in round 8.
The former world championship challenger outplayed his American opponent, who is clearly in bad form in this tournament.
Joint tournament leaders Sergey Karjakin and Fabiano Caruana drew their game with each other to stay ahead with 5/8 points in this closely fought event.
Tomorrow is a rest day, so the tournament continues with round 9 on Sunday.

The overall winner and runner-up of the 2012/13 FIDE Grand Prix will qualify for the March 2014 Candidates Tournament. Before then, we are due to have the 2013 Candidates in March 2013 in London, with the winner challenging Vishy Anand for the title in October/November 2013.
