Vivre Le Sport!
Les Francais adorent les echecs! (Which I think means, The French love chess - please correct my bad French grammar in the comments if necessary ).
The French language magazine and website, Europe Echecs, is organising the third 'Circuit Espoir', which is a chess event that forms part of a bigger festival of sport, named 'Vivre Le Sport'.
The chess fun takes place on Sunday 5th October and is headlined by a rapid double round-robin competition between four talented female players. The French Champion, Sophie Milliet (pictured below), and her compatriot Pauline Guichard will be joined in battle by the Hungarian Champion Anna Rudolf and top Latvian player, Dana Reizniece.
There will also be simultaneous exhibitions, lectures and free blitz all day. It should also be pretty easy to find your way to the venue - it's taking place right under the Eiffel Tower!
Other famous french chess players attending on the day include Almira Skripchenko, Marie Sebag and Laurent Fressinet. Should be a fun day in Paris!
