The 15 year-old chess prodigy Wesley So (pictured) has celebrated his entry into the top 100 of the official FIDE rankings by dominating the opposition at the Philippine National Championships.

At a new rating of 2641, So is also ranked no.7 in the world in the junior rankings.

So scored an impressive 9 points out of a possible 11, with a record of 7 wins, 4 draws and no losses.

So also won the C Group at the Corus Tournament earlier this year, and it will be very interesting to see how he fares in the B Group next year!
