Women's Grand Prix In Jermuk
The FIDE Grand Prix is now finished, but the women's equivalent is just half-way through the planned six events.
Tournament #4 in the series runs from 23 June - 6 July in Jermuk, Armenia. Previously, Humpy Koneru (pictured) won in Istanbul, Xu Yuhua won in Nanjing, and Tatiana Kosintseva won in Nalchik.
The winner of the series will challenge the 2010 women's world champion in a 10-game match for the the title in 2011 (the 2010 champion will be decided by a KO tournament in December in Turkey).
If the winner of the Grand Prix series is also the winner of the 2010 world championship, then the runner-up in the Grand Prix will be the challenger.
