The World Open 2010 is currently taking place in Valley Forge, Philadelphia. The event runs from 29 June - 5 July and includes several 9-round Swiss tournaments for different rating levels.

Each rating level is also (rather confusingly) split into either a 7-day schedule or a 4&5 day schedule.

The show-piece Open tournament (also split) has attracted players such as Vallejo Pons, Alexander Onischuk, Surya Ganguly, Pental Harikrishna, Loek Van Wely and Luke McShane and Chess.com's Matt Helfst, for the 7-day schedule.

The 4&5 day schedule features the likes of Gata Kamsky (pictured), Alexander Shabalov and Ray Robson as well as some more familiar names to Chess.com including Magesh Panchanathan, Sam Shankland and Alisa Melekhina (apologies if I missed anyone!).

The official website with the latest standings, including replayable and downloadable games can be found here.
