On the 24th it is the 40th birthday of Summer Glau. Born in San Antonio, Texas she trained for a career in ballet but after injury she switched to acting and after her debut in Angel 1999 moved to Los Angeles in 2002 having gone on to star in the series Firefly and was in the subsequent movie Serenity 2005; she then gained wider fame with The Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles 2008; was in Dollhouse 2009-10 Alphas 2011-12 Grey’s Anatomy 2012 & 9 episodes of Arrow 2013-14. Now married with two children she still attends conventions and in 2019 joined Netflix’s Wu Assassins. Owned till 2009 a home in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas but still has a home in San Antonio and also a home in Studio City, California.
