Recently it was the 85th anniversary of the birth of Burt Reynolds, who died in 2018. He had a unique style and was for many years the most popular male star to the public, with his self-deprecating humour and ability in action films, but he was also a good actor. There are many memorable roles, his career start being as Quint in Gunsmoke 1962-65 - Navajo Joe 1966, Dan August 1970-71, Fuzz & Deliverance 1972, , Smokey and the Bandit 1977 & 80 & 83, Hooper 1978, The Cannonball Run 1981 & 84 & Sharky’s Machine 1981 (which he directed], The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas 1982. He also received notoriety and was the butt of many comments for the naked Cosmopolitan centrefold in 1972. Born In Lansing and living for some time in Lake City, Michigan he also lived in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, before his family moved to Riviera Beach, Florida, where his father was Chief of Police. Lived for many years in Jupiter, Florida where he died and had a home in Hobe Sound, and also a mansion in Loganville, Georgia. Never so good with money, he had a number of failed investments, such as a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale but he tried to build things for young actors and actresses in Jupiter and Sarasota.
