Academics in Checkmate

Welcome to The Academics in Checkmate! This club is a friendly space for chess lovers of all skill levels, from beginners to grandmasters. We (will) host regular tournaments, themed game days, and learning sessions to help everyone improve their skills. Join us for casual games, strategy discussions, and a vibrant community where you can connect with fellow chess enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your tactics or just enjoy a game, everyone is welcome! Let's make every move count together!

Although we are a small team of just around 125 members, we still are a group… I mean… a chess group, of course! We are what we should be called - THE CHESS SPREADERS of course!While most of the clubs make off topic forums and discussions, we are somewhat opposite of it. We arrange weekly tournaments, learn tactics, give awards and recognitions to people to make them proud, give information about chess openings, learn about famous chess people’s biography and hold daily puzzles. The only problem is that our club’s owner, @SGP_Chess2, may sometimes be on leave and our club may become inactive for a few days due to his exams, but after 10th March 2025 (coincidentally that date is also his birthday lol) he will be free from exams and will be able to connect with you people again. So please don’t leave this club. We even have a Google Forms to fill on your quality of our club and your chess journey.
