ROMAN SHOGDZHIEV, YOUNGEST HIGH RATED AT THE AGE OF 11 YRS OLD

Roman Shogdzhiev is a Russian chess player and a child. Yeah! He is just 9 years old, and became the youngest player in history to achieve an International Master (IM) norm. Competing in the RadnickiChess IM tournament in Serbia last December, he scored 7/9, securing his IM norm with an 11-move draw against GM Branko Damljanovic. His performance rating of 2452 earned him an 88-point ELO gain. But wait! There's More! his made him the world's highest-rated under-11 player and reached a rating of 2300. How about you?
