One of our readers sent us a short article with a specially composed chess puzzle where the pieces on the diagram present the year 2014. The puzzle wasn't published before and so it is something new and special for our readers. Thanks Diyan!

Diyan Kostadinov is titled FIDE Master for chess composition and National Master of Sport. He is a Bronze medalist from the recent World Championship (2010-2012), Olympic Silver medalist (2010), he was three times on second place of the World Cup (2010, 2011, 2013) and a winner of many tourneys for chess composition.

Peter Doggers joined a chess club a month before turning 15 and still plays for it. He used to be an active tournament player and holds two IM norms.

Peter has a Master of Arts degree in Dutch Language & Literature. He briefly worked at New in Chess, then as a Dutch teacher and then in a project for improving safety and security in Amsterdam schools.

Between 2007 and 2013 Peter was running ChessVibes, a major source for chess news and videos acquired by Chess.com in October 2013.
