Alexander Onischuk is a Ukrainian-born American grandmaster and chess coach. He won the Ukrainian Championship in 2000, a year before moving to the United States. He then won the U.S. Championship in 2006 and placed second on three other occasions.
Onischuk reached his peak FIDE rating of 2701 in 2010. Two years later, he became the head chess coach for Texas Tech University.
