GM Kirill Shevchenko
Bio
Kirill Shevchenko is a Ukrainian former grandmaster and top-10 junior player in the world. He earned his GM title when 14 years, nine months, and 23 days old, placing him on the list of the youngest grandmasters in history. At the 2019 Najdorf Memorial Open A Tournament, Shevchenko finished undefeated with 7/9 points, earning second on a large seven-way tiebreak.
In October 2024, Shevchenko fell under investigation for possible cheating after an incident at the European Club Cup. On August 26, 2025, FIDE revoked his GM title.
